Sunrise on Rainier from Denny Blaine

The story

This rainbow-colored sky is a close-up of the same view. You can see my meditation blanket on the rocks in the left corner, but I've disappeared. I imagined it as the disappearance of the ego. It's still a self-portrait. I'm just not in it; I'm everything in it. I took the photo on the day Lisa was climbing Rainier. They summit at dawn, so I went down at dawn to catch the sky. She's in there, very, very small, about an inch below the top.
