Using the site

You may browse the site and use its features for personal, lawful purposes. Please do not interfere with the site or its checkout, attempt to access private areas or other people’s orders, submit false orders or information, or upload content you do not have the right to share. I may suspend access or decline an order where these Terms are misused.

I try to keep descriptions, images, availability, and prices accurate. Screen colors vary, and works on paper differ slightly from their photographs. If a clear pricing or availability error affects your order, I will contact you before shipping and you may cancel for a full refund.

Purchases and prints

Prices are in US dollars. Shipping and applicable tax are shown before payment. An order is accepted when payment is confirmed. Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout, under its own terms; this site does not store full card numbers.

Original paintings are one of a kind and are reserved for you only while checkout is in progress. Fine-art prints are made to order and produced and shipped by a print partner. Dispatch times, delivery, and damage support are described in Shipping & returns.

Commissions

A commission starts with a 50% deposit. The size, subject, price, timing, approval stages, and cancellation terms are agreed with you in writing before work begins, and the balance is due on completion as agreed. Reference photos you provide are handled as described in the Privacy policy. You confirm you have the right to share them.

Returns and refunds

Returns, cancellations, and refunds follow the Shipping & returns policy: originals can be returned within 14 days of delivery, made-to-order prints cannot be cancelled for change of mind once production starts, and damaged, defective, or incorrect items are put right. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Intellectual property and license

All artwork, images, text, video, and design on this site are owned by TJ Murphy or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. Buying an original painting or print transfers ownership of that physical object only; copyright and reproduction rights stay with the artist unless agreed otherwise in writing.

I grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view the site and share links to it. You may share images of a work you own for non-commercial purposes with credit to TJ Murphy. You may not reproduce, sell, print, train machine-learning models on, or create derivative works from the artwork or site content without written permission.

Disclaimers, liability, and governing law

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and my total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, and disputes will be handled in the courts of King County, Washington, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

I may update these Terms; the effective date above will change, and the Terms in effect when you placed an order apply to that order.
