The story behind this painting
I made this poster for the Bitcoin Film Festival in Warsaw, Poland. It depicts the Syrenka, Warsaw’s protector spirit. Her statue stands in the Old Town Market Square. The Old Town was devastated during the war, then rebuilt from paintings and photographs to resemble its prewar form as closely as possible.
The hussar wings behind her represent Polish valor. The Bitcoin logo on her shield represents the tools we now have to liberate humanity from oppression.
