My Tipi, on Grand Traverse Bay by Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy is my dad. We’ve been painting together since COVID, when he picked up a brush shortly after I did and began painting for the first time in his life. As he leaves the corporate world, he’s discovered a new passion for artistic expression.

At least once a week, we talk about painting techniques and share images to paint. During COVID, he painted every day for a long stretch, sending me each painting with a poem he had written to accompany it. Those paintings and poems became his book COVID 2020.

He has published several books of poetry and found readers for his work. COVID 2020 and Reflections on Time are available on Amazon. You can also explore Reflections on Time here.
