Walk My 206 Paintings in 3D

By TJ Murphy ·

Paintings hung at true size on a gallery wall

I set up a 3D gallery where you can walk around all 206 of my current paintings.

They're hung relative to their true size, in brightly lit hexagonal galleries. Outdoor pieces sit in outdoor courtyards.

Murals open the walls: a Seattle garden, Lillooet in BC, Berlin, El Salvador.

There's a model of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, for the Bitcoin Film Festival where Gavin's film featuring me, Coined in Watercolor, screened.

You can interact with the art. There's a scanner that lets you purchase it. There's soup you can throw at it. There's a gravity gun that lets you move it around, a glitter cannon that makes a mess, and a leaf blower that blows the mess around.

How you play with it

Point the Buy Scanner and the GuideBot lifts the painting off the wall onto your cart.

When you're ready, walk into the golden light, the pillar of light in the center, and you're at checkout. You can pay with Bitcoin.

Throw soup like a protester and the machine elves clean up after you.

The gravity gun, Half-Life style, slides hangs on the walls. Glitter cannon for the mess; leaf blower to push it around.

Art books sit on plinths. You can flip through them in place.

There's a side gallery that showcases my dad's work. Paul's courtyard is its own stop on the walk.

Why this exists beyond my walls

The larger project is to make it easy for artists to create 3D galleries like this and link them across domains. That's Relay Gate. We're building it as Nostr-native as we can, so galleries can find each other without living inside one company's silo.

My gallery is the proof you can walk today. Relay Gate is the door we want other artists to walk through next.

Come walk it

Start at tjm.art/play. Cross a courtyard. Stand in front of a mural. Flip a book. Or throw some soup and watch the elves work.

Tell me which room you stayed in longest.

Thanks for walking with us.
